A green building is one which uses less water, optimises energy efficiency, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier spaces for occupants, as compared to a conventional building. At Unishire, the constant endevour is to follow Green Building principles. And that is why most of the Unishire Projects are proposed to receive IGBC Gold Certification on completion.

Water

RAINWATER HARVESTING: ROOF AND NON-ROOF

to enhance ground water table and reduce municipal water demand

WATER EFFICIENT PLUMBING FIXTURES:

to minimize the use of municipal water and reduce load on waste water systems.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN:

to design landscape to ensure minimum water consumption.



MANAGEMENT OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM:

to reduce water demand for irrigation through water efficient management systems and techniques.

WASTE WATER TREATMENT AND REUSE:

to reduce consumption of potable water and waste water generation to minimize the burden on municipal streams.

WATER METERING:

to encourage continuous monitoring to enhance the water performance of residential dwelling unit(s).

Energy

CFC – FREE EQUIPMENT:

to avoid use of refrigerants and ozone depleting gases which has negative impact to the environment.

MINIMUM ENERGY REQUIREMENT:

to improve energy efficiency of the building(s) to reduce environmental impacts from excessive energy use.

ENHANCED ENERGY PERFORMANCE:

to enhance energy efficiency of the building(s) to reduce environmental impacts from excessive energy use.

SOLAR WATER HEATING SYSTEMS:

to encourage use of solar energy for water heating applications in the building(s).

ENERGY SAVING MEASURES IN APPLIANCES & OTHER EQUIPMENT:

to conserve energy in the use of house-hold appliances and other equipment, thereby reducing environmental impacts.

ENERGY METERING:

to encourage continuous monitoring to enhance the energy performance of residential dwelling unit.
